3T's All Star Sports Academy




INSTRUCTORS



BASEBALL
Robert Shahidi:Owner of 3T's All Star Sports Academy and Coached 13 years on the Ames High Baseball Coaching Staff.  Robert has participated in practices with the Baseball Coaching Staff's at Creighton University, University of Arizona, Florida Gulf Coast University, Unvierys of Illinois Chicago, Northern Illinois, Northwestern University and Iowa Lakes Community College.  He has also attended the American Baseball Coaches Convention the last 3 years to learn the current hitting, pitching, fielding, catching and throwing philosophies and mechanics in baseball.  
Coach Shahidi is also a PGA Class A Professional. He graduated from Ames High School as a 4A State Golf Champion and went on to play at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. He has been a Head Golf Professional at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO and at The Golf Club at Fiddler's Creek in Naples, FL.

Eric Bappe:Coach Bappe, former Ames High Varsity Baseball Coach for 18 years. He coached Multiple All-Conference and All-State players. He has 25 years experience in Baseball and Football coaching. He has been giving private baseball lessons and multi player clinic's for the last 13 years. Coach Bappe has also participated in practices with the Baseball Coaching Staff at Creighton University and the University of Arizona.

Kyle Hannais the former Head Baseball Coach at Des Moines Area Community College. During his 4 seasons with the DMACC Bears as the head and assistant coach, his teams had a combined 161-74 record. The teams also won 3 Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Championships and participated in the NJCAA World Series in 2012. He coached 5 NJCAA All-Americans, 2 Rawlings Gold Glove Winners, and an NJCAA National Player of the year in 2014. In the 4 years that Hanna was at DMACC there were over 15 players taken in the Major League Baseball draft and over 30 players who went on to play at NCAA Division 1 programs including Dallas Baptist University, Iowa, Kansas State, Florida Atlantic, Minnesota, Maryland, Wichita State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, and Illinois State to name a few.

Ryan Moorman Was a 3 year varsity baseball letter winner at Boone High School.  2-Time Litle Hawkeye All-Conference Selection and 2002 IHSBCA All-Star Participant.  Ryan was a 4 year starting pitcher at Wartburg College.  He was a 4-Time IIAC All Coference Selection, 2-Time All-Region Selection and 4-Time IIAC Conference Champion.  He appeared in 2 NCAA Regional Tournaments and was part of the 2005 DIII College World Series team.  

SOFTBALL

Gary Gorman: Coach Gorman has been the Head Softball Coach at Ames High School for the past 15 years. He has coached 16 players who are currently playing or have played at the college level. He has coached several All-Conference and All-State players. He has twenty-six years of experience playing and coaching fastpitch softball. Coach Gorman is the Mathematics Teacher at Ames High School he has his BS Degree in Liberal Arts and Science, majoring in Mathematics at Iowa State University and Master of Education.
